Job summary

Applied Information Sciences, Inc. (AIS) is seeking an Azure Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and operate cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.

This role blends Azure architecture with IaC, DevOps automation, and security remediation to modernize infrastructure, strengthen security posture, and support key migration efforts. You will collaborate with development and operations teams, guide CI/CD pipelines, monitor performance, and drive best practices for reliability,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure roles.
• Strong proficiency with Azure services, automation, and IaC (PowerShell, ARM, Terraform or Ansible a plus).
• Experience with cloud security remediation, compliance, and governance.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Azure infrastructure, including compute, network, and storage services.
• Modernize the infrastructure repository by bringing unmanaged Azure resources into source control and refactoring IaC (primarily PowerShell).
• Automate deployments and operational workflows using Infrastructure as code (IaC) tools and scripting.
• Analyze and remediate Azure scan findings, focusing on critical and high-priority issues to meet security and compliance standards.
• Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot cloud environments to ensure performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide guidance on Azure best practices.
• Configure CI/CD pipelines.
