Job summary

Applied Information Sciences (AIS) seeks a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design and operate complex cloud and hybrid environments, focusing on Azure services and secure engineering practices.

You will lead automation initiatives, support DoD/IC programs, document systems, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure reliability and scalability. Secret clearance and cloud certifications required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in enterprise cloud/infrastructure environments.
• IAT-2 and cloud certifications, plus active Secret clearance.
• Experience in regulated environments and secure engineering/documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintains smooth operation of cloud-based systems, coordinating with network admins.
• Sets up admin and service accounts, maintains documentation, tunes performance, installs system software.
• Respond to large-scale events involving VMs and storage.
• Fix critical software and system failures.
• Propose, drive and implement automation for efficiency and scalability.
• Develop/improve tools, reports, and processes to monitor cloud health.
