Job summary

Applied Information Sciences, Inc. is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design and manage complex network and hybrid cloud solutions, implement security controls, disaster recovery, and automated IaC with deployment pipelines.

You will lead automation initiatives, perform capacity planning, mentor juniors, and coordinate with federal clients to ensure reliable cloud services and compliant engineering practices within a dynamic, consultant-heavy environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of enterprise cloud/infrastructure experience.
• IAT-2 and at least one cloud certification.
• Active Secret clearance (or higher).
• Experience in regulated environments and secure engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintains smooth operation of cloud-based systems and coordinates with network admins.
• Sets up admin/service accounts, maintains cloud documentation and inventory, tunes performance.
• Respond to large-scale events involving VMs and storage.
• Fix critical software and system failures.
• Propose, drive and implement automation for efficiency and scalability.
• Develop/improve tools, reports, and processes to monitor cloud health.
