Job summary

Applied Information Sciences (AIS) is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and operate enterprise cloud and hybrid infrastructure for a federal program. The role emphasizes Azure Web Services Cloud Administration, security controls, automation, and performance tuning.

You will lead complex projects, mentor teammates, and collaborate with vendors to ensure reliability and DoD-regulated compliance while maintaining thorough system documentation and incident response

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of enterprise cloud/infrastructure experience.
• IAT-2 and/or cloud certifications required.
• Active Secret clearance (or higher) required.
• Experience in regulated environments and secure practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintains smooth operation of cloud-based systems and coordinates with network admins.
• Sets up admin and service accounts, documents cloud infra, tunes performance.
• Responds to large-scale events involving VMs and storage.
• Proposes and implements automation for efficiency and scalability.
• Develops tools, reports, and processes to monitor cloud health.
• Keeps stakeholders aligned and drives engineering best practices.
