Job summary

Applied Information Sciences, Inc. is seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer to support design, implementation, and operation of Azure infrastructure onsite in Washington, DC. The role combines Azure architecture, IaC, DevOps automation, and security remediation.

You will work with development and operations teams to modernize infrastructure, strengthen security posture, and support migrations. A TS clearance and 8+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance and ability to work onsite in DC.
• 8+ years of cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure experience.
• Strong proficiency with Azure services, automation, and IaC (PowerShell, ARM, Terraform or Ansible).
• Experience with cloud security remediation, compliance, and governance.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Azure infrastructure, including compute, network, and storage services.
• Modernize the infrastructure repository by bringing unmanaged Azure resources into source control and refactoring IaC (primarily PowerShell).
• Automate deployments and operational workflows using Infrastructure as code (IaC) tools and scripting.
• Analyze and remediate Azure scan findings, focusing on critical and high-priority issues to meet security and compliance standards.
• Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot cloud environments to ensure performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide guidance on Azure best practices.
• Configure CI/CD pipelines.
