Job summary

Stater Bros. Markets is seeking an experienced Data Platform Administrator to manage SQL Server and Azure data services in development, QA, and production. You will monitor, deploy, and troubleshoot data platforms while ensuring security and cost controls.

The role focuses on platform and database administration, with collaboration across development, infrastructure, and business teams, and you will participate in incident resolution and change management.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with MS SQL Server and Azure data-platform resources across multiple environments.
Strong understanding of Azure data-platform architecture and platform administration.
Ability to monitor, troubleshoot, deploy, and manage data pipelines and security across Dev/QA/Prod.
Experience with cost management, budgets, alerts, and chargeback/showback reporting.

Responsibilities

Administer and support on-premises MS SQL Database and Azure data-platform resources.
Manage database configuration, upgrades, migrations, security, and performance.
Monitor health, performance, and connectivity; resolve blocking and deadlocks.
Support data pipelines, deployments, and related data resources across environments.
Administer Fabric workspaces, Synapse workspaces, and Storage resources.
Manage Azure RBAC, AD roles, and access controls; ensure security best practices.
Provide production incident support, root-cause analysis, and documentation.
Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and data teams without building solutions from scratch.
