Job summary
Atlas is seeking a Database & Data Platform Engineer to support and optimize SQL Server environments and advance our modern data platform strategy using cloud technologies, automation, and data engineering initiatives. The role blends traditional database administration with cloud responsibilities, offering work with SQL Server, Azure, Fabric, and data integration.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in SQL Server database administration or related role.
- Strong experience in production SQL Server environments: monitoring, tuning, security, backup/recovery, high availability.
- Advanced T-SQL skills with analytical/problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with Azure SQL and Azure data services preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain SQL Server production, QA, and development environments for availability and performance.
- Monitor database health, capacity, and performance; proactively resolve issues.
- Triage incidents; participate in on-call support as needed.
- Perform query tuning, indexing reviews, and execution plan analysis.
- Manage backup, recovery, DR, and high-availability solutions.
- Administer security, permissions, and access controls.
