Job summary

RemoteLeads is seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator to support critical production systems in the United States. You will manage SQL Server databases and Azure SQL environments, ensuring availability, security, and performance.

You will migrate legacy databases, implement backups and DR plans, and collaborate with developers and stakeholders to optimize data architectures and analytics workflows, including Power BI environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of SQL Server DBA experience.
• 4+ years supporting production servers.
• 1+ year Azure database administration experience.
• 1+ year data warehouse experience.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Fingerprinting background check required.
• Onsite day-one equipment pickup in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Migrate databases from legacy servers and SQL Server versions to newer environments.
• Deploy, secure, back up, and maintain Azure SQL databases and support migrations from on-premises environments.
• Design and maintain data models, schemas, tables, relationships, and data dictionaries.
• Develop and validate data migration processes for extracting, cleansing, transforming, and loading data.
• Deploy database schema changes across test and production environments.
• Support data warehouses, data marts, and Power BI environments.
• Collaborate with developers, stakeholders, vendors, and service providers on requirements, architectures, releases, risks, and process improvements.

Requirements:

• 7 years of SQL Server database administration experience.
• 4 years of database administration experience supporting production servers.
• 3 years of data analytics experience.
• 1 year of Azure database administration experience.
• 1 year of data warehouse experience.
• Strong communication, customer service, collaboration, and technical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, estimate effort, meet deadlines, and follow database standards.
• Power BI administration experience is highly preferred.
• Business systems analysis and design experience is preferred.
• Experience with SQL Server high availability and Always On is preferred.
• Successful completion of an in-depth background check, including fingerprinting.
• Availability for onsite day-one equipment pickup and required fingerprinting; assigned equipment must remain within the United States.
