Job summary

The Emily Program is seeking a Data Architect to define and govern an Azure-based data platform that integrates Avatar NX, Salesforce, and financial systems. The role requires reverse engineering the Avatar NX data model to enable accurate reporting and governance across enterprise data.

You will establish standards for data quality, catalogs, lineage, and governance, work with Finance and IT, and ensure auditable, scalable data solutions in a remote US-based environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data architecture, data modeling, or enterprise data engineering.
• Hands‑on experience designing data platforms in Azure (ADF, Synapse, Data Lake, SQL).
• Demonstrated experience integrating EHR, CRM, and financial systems.
• Proven experience reverse engineering undocumented or poorly documented schemas, including identifying table relationships and reconstructing data models.

Responsibilities

• Reverse engineer and document the Avatar NX data model, including table structures, relationships, and data flows.
• Define integration patterns across Avatar NX, Salesforce, and financial systems.
• Standardize data contracts and exchange patterns (batch, API, event-driven).
• Establish governance for data naming, definitions, and quality; lead data catalog and lineage framework.
