Job summary

Troon's corporate office in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a mid-level Systems Engineer focused on Microsoft Azure infrastructure to support and maintain our cloud-first environments.

The role involves hands-on work with Azure services, networking, identity, and security, collaborating with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable cloud solutions. Travel may be occasional; a Bachelor's degree and 3–6 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure, or cloud operations.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and services.
• Practical experience with Azure Virtual Networks and cloud networking concepts.
• Working knowledge of Azure Active Directory (Entra ID) and Microsoft 365 services.
• Strong understanding of Windows operating systems and cloud-based identity.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and work independently on assigned tasks.
• Experience with Azure monitoring, security, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Hands-on experience using PowerShell and automation tools to streamline administrative tasks, improve consistency, and support infrastructure operations.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, support, and maintain Microsoft Azure infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage, and Azure Virtual Networks (VNets).
• Administer Azure networking components such as VNets, subnets, NSGs, VPN connectivity, private endpoints, and load balancing services.
• Manage identity and access using Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), RBAC, Conditional Access, and MFA.
• Monitor system performance, availability, security, and cost using Azure-native tools.
• Participate in infrastructure projects such as cloud deployments, upgrades, and platform improvements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, networking, and identity-related issues.
• Maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver secure, reliable cloud solutions.
