Job summary

Plante Moran is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Manager in Denver to lead a Cloud Team, design and deliver secure, scalable Azure platforms, and mentor engineers. The role focuses on IaC, Terraform, and GitHub CI/CD while guiding platform standards and operating models across architecture, security, and operations.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in IT infra, strong Azure expertise, and a track record in cloud cost optimization and DevOps. Travel is occasional; in-person collaboration is valued.

Qualifications

• 7+ years IT infrastructure experience, incl. 3+ years building and operating Microsoft Azure solutions using IaC and Terraform.
• Ability to lead technically and guide others through complex infra challenges.
• Strong understanding of Azure services and architecture patterns including App Services, Front Door, Key Vault, Logic Apps, VNets, and more.
• Knowledge of networking principles, including subnetting, routing, and security best practices.
• Experience with Kubernetes-based platforms, such as Azure Kubernetes Service.
• This position may require travel on rare occasions.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the Cloud Team, including coaching, mentoring, delegating work, reviewing team members’ work, and setting appropriate expectations and goals.
• Guide Azure platform standards, roadmaps, and operating practices in collaboration with architecture, application, security, and operations teams.
• Help define and evolve the future cloud operating model, including how cloud, application, security, and operations teams collaborate on platform engineering, DevOps practices, and service ownership.
• Design, implement, and continuously improve Azure solutions using Terraform, IaC, and GitHub CI/CD with attention to availability, disaster recovery, security, and cost.
• Research emerging public cloud technologies and recommend solutions that improve cost-effectiveness, scalability, user experience, and business value.
• Apply FinOps practices to optimize cloud costs and improve transparency.
• Provide senior-level Azure infrastructure support, including Tier 3 troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, on-call participation, and occasional after-hours maintenance.
