Job summary

Allstate is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Infrastructure Managing Engineer to lead a team building, automating, and securing Azure cloud services. You will work with product managers to prioritize backlogs, establish infrastructure as code, and drive immutable infrastructure across multi-region deployments.

The role demands a hands-on leader who mentors engineers, designs complex cloud architectures, and aligns cloud platforms with business and security goals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of application development and infrastructure engineering experience.
• Extensive experience leading engineering teams and managing HR-related duties.
• Designing and implementing complex applications and distributed systems in Azure.
• Experience with multi-region, highly available deployments in public cloud environments.
• Security and compliance frameworks in public cloud environments.
• Infrastructure technologies including network, compute, and storage.
• Infrastructure as code using Terraform and ARM Templates.
• Mentoring diverse teams across engineering practices and time zones.
• Hands-on in infrastructure changes and process improvements.
• Strong communication across diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineers in overseeing and developing cloud environments and platforms.
• Collaborate with product managers to prioritize backlog and roadmaps.
• Define and implement infrastructure as code and immutable infrastructure concepts.
• Set strategy and manage complex technical designs for cloud platform infra.
• Define and develop new products and services that provide functions-as-a-service.
• Promote open source and commercial technologies aligned with industry trends.
• Identify creative solutions for technical challenges.
