Job summary

Allstate is seeking an experienced Azure-focused leader to accelerate our move to the public cloud within the Cloud Engineering group. Qualifications

• 5+ years of application development and infrastructure engineering experience.
• Experience leading engineering teams, performance reviews, coaching, HR duties.
• Designing and implementing complex applications and distributed systems in Azure.
• Experience with multi-region, highly available deployments in cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of security and compliance in public clouds.
• Experience with network, compute, and storage infra.
• Proficient in infrastructure as code using Terraform and ARM Templates.
• Mentoring across engineering practices: XP, product mindset, cloud/as-a-service, IaC.
• Hands-on in changes to our infrastructure and processes.
• Able to coordinate diverse teams across time zones under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineers to build, secure, and evolve cloud environments aligned with business and security needs.
• Collaborate with product managers to prioritize backlogs and roadmaps for infrastructure.
• Champion engineering practices and establish frameworks for IaC and immutable infrastructure.
• Define strategy and design complex cloud platform architectures across regions.
• Create new products and services offering infrastructure-as-a-service capabilities.
• Promote responsible use of open source and commercial technologies.
• Identify innovative solutions to technical challenges.
