Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is recruiting a Cloud Infrastructure Architect to lead the Azure-centric infrastructure strategy in a hands-on role. You will shape Azure standards, architecture, and governance while driving modernization and automation across the enterprise.

The role emphasizes senior technical ownership with no direct reports, collaborating with IT operations and leadership to align security, monitoring, and resilience with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Deep experience designing and supporting Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
• Strong background in cloud architecture, operations, and modernization.
• Expertise with Entra ID, identity and access management, and Microsoft cloud technologies.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation (Terraform and Ansible).
• Knowledge of cloud governance, monitoring, security, and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and optimize enterprise infrastructure within Microsoft Azure
• Define and evolve cloud architecture strategy, standards, and roadmap
• Lead cloud modernization and migration initiatives across the enterprise
• Design and improve identity and access management leveraging Entra ID and the broader Microsoft ecosystem
• Support infrastructure integration associated with M&A activity, including tenant and mailbox migrations
• Establish cloud governance, security, monitoring, resiliency, and operational best practices
• Drive greater automation through Terraform, Ansible, and infrastructure-as-code practices
• Improve observability and proactive monitoring using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
• Architect solutions supporting backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity
• Partner with IT operations teams to improve incident management, ticket workflows, and overall operational discipline
• Provide senior-level technical guidance and mentorship without formal people-management responsibilities
• Evaluate emerging cloud, automation, data, and AI capabilities that can improve infrastructure operations
