Job summary

HDR is seeking a Business Group Manager to lead and grow the Building Engineering Services (BES) Business Group in the Arizona/New Mexico Area. This role partners with Area Operations Manager and BES Regional Director to coordinate building engineering design and services with HDR’s markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum of 10 years experience.
• Demonstrated experience with leading diverse teams.
• Committed to quality, HDR values.
• Active involvement in professional associations to enhance HDR technical expertise and brand.
• Ability to work cooperatively with regional/local managers, other area directors, technical directors and marketing managers.
• Active participant in employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow multiple discipline design teams (Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Control Systems, Fire Protection, BIM).
• Foster a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Support policies, mentor staff, contribute to planning, proposals, and client engagement.
• Support projects across diverse markets and drive program development, new business, and standards.
