Job summary

HDR is seeking a BES Regional Business Group Director to lead and grow the Building Engineering Services in the Northeast region, covering approximately five states in the US. You will oversee strategic initiatives, staffing, and client development while coordinating with Market Sector leaders and other regional directors.

Ideal candidates bring 12+ years of related field experience, a strong leadership record, and a deep commitment to HDR values and employee ownership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in a related field.
• Demonstrated experience leading diverse teams.
• Works cooperatively with regional and local office managers, technical and marketing directors.
• Active participant in HDR's employee-owned culture and values.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain an effective regional BES program and staffing plan.
• Lead regional business group initiatives with Market Sector and leadership.
• Collaborate with other Regional Directors and Managers to drive BES BG strategies.
• Drive BES P&L performance and support regional initiatives.
• Participate in BES BG Senior Leadership meetings and MOA governance.
• Mentor Area Business Group Managers and key personnel on staffing and forecasts.
• Address operational inquiries and project health and risk management.
• Assist in recruitment and prioritization of regional strategic hires.
• Review marketing forecasts and align staffing with backlog.
