Job summary

Dana Corp is seeking a Product Engineer to provide axle product leadership to the global engineering team. You will lead research and design activities on new products, quality issues, and cost-saving initiatives across Dana's drivetrain portfolio.

Responsibilities include interpreting customer specs to design axle carriers, collaborating with manufacturing and purchasing to ensure manufacturability and cost targets, and supporting APQP, PPAP, and customer interactions during launches and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
3+ years of drivetrain engineering experience in automotive or related industries.
Experience with CAD and GD&T; proficiency with FEA and design reviews.
Familiarity with Teamcenter and data management is preferred.
Strong collaboration with manufacturing, purchasing, and validation teams.

Responsibilities

Interpret customer specs to design axle components meeting Dana practices.
Collaborate with manufacturing, purchasing, estimating to ensure cost-effective designs.
Provide technical support across sourcing, development, launch and production.
Make decisions per Dana's Design Review process.
Prepare DFMEAs, DVP&Rs, work orders, and test setups.
Create and review technical reports, drawings.
Evaluate changes and deviations and coordinate implementations.
Support APQP and PPAP submissions.
Mentor junior engineers.
Review warranty data and drive improvements.
Benchmark and perform competitive analyses; lead VAVE cost-saving projects.
