Job summary

CACI International Inc is seeking a Space Suit Modeling and Simulation Engineer to support NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. You will develop AxEMU math models and simulation scenarios, integrate space suit flight software, and analyze results to influence design and performance.

The role requires C++ and Python in Linux, Trick simulations, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to advance human-rated space systems for Artemis. Travel up to 10% may apply.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident for access to USG facilities.
• B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Biomedical Engineering with 3+ years of software development.
• Experience with aerospace vehicle or space suit simulations and math model development.
• Experience with Trick simulations and math model verification and validation processes.
• Experience with C++ and Python in a Linux environment.
• Experience with Git and software version control.
• Strong Linux skills and ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
• Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Develop AxEMU system and subsystem simulation math models, verify requirements, and validate simulations.
• Design and develop math models for AxEMU systems and subsystems including hardware and software.
• Develop simulation scenarios to test nominal and off-nominal space suit operations.
• Develop interface code for integrating space suit flight software into the simulation environment.
• Perform analysis on simulation data to investigate space suit system performance.
• Present analysis results and their impact on space suit performance and design to customers.
