Job Description:

Deliver simple solutions to complex problems as a Software Developer Advisor at GDIT. You will tailor cutting-edge solutions to our clients' requirements, focusing on application development with an emphasis on user experience and career growth.

We are seeking a senior Software Developer to design, develop, and modernize client software in a highly Agile environment, participating in daily scrums and following sprint ceremonies and best practices.

Responsibilities include:

1. Working on a fast-paced Angular/Java/Spring Boot development effort in a DevOps environment with a remote Agile team.
2. Building and coding applications using Spring/Spring Boot in an AWS cloud environment.
3. Maintaining a Java-based software interface for CRUD operations within a relational database using POJOs.
4. Applying understanding of design patterns, persistence frameworks like MyBatis and Hibernate, and object marshaling between JSON and POJOs.
5. Demonstrating Oracle SQL and PL/SQL experience.

Qualifications:

Required Experience: 5+ years in related development with an Agile team.

Technical Skills:

• 5+ years of Java experience (preferably Java 21)
• 2+ years of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL experience
• 2+ years of AWS experience (ECS, Docker, deployment)
• Experience with Spring Boot, Angular 17+, Java REST APIs/microservices, Terraform, GitHub pipelines

Security Clearance: Public Trust

Skills and Abilities: Ability to lead, communicate, troubleshoot remotely, and be responsive during business hours.

Preferred Skills: CICD tools, shell scripting, Gitlab, Docker, JUnit, Sonar, CloudBees, Jersey, REST Web Services, DSSO, automated testing frameworks, DevOps, OpenTelemetry.
