Georgia State Government is seeking a Systems Administrator I to manage and optimize its AWS-based infrastructure in Atlanta, GA. The role emphasizes operating Linux and Windows servers, implementing IaC, and supporting CI/CD efforts across development to production environments.

The ideal candidate will configure, monitor, and secure cloud resources, participate in disaster recovery planning, and collaborate with Development and Security teams to ensure reliability, security, and cost

Qualifications

• 2- or 4-year undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience administering Linux and Windows Server environments.
• Working knowledge of AWS services and IaC/config automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support AWS infrastructure across development, testing, and production environments.
• Provision, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot AWS services (EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM, Route 53, CloudWatch, Systems Manager).
• Configure and maintain system monitoring, alerting, and dashboards.
• Assist with disaster recovery and business continuity efforts.
