Job summary

State of Georgia is seeking a Systems Administrator I to administer, configure, and troubleshoot servers, networks, and AWS infrastructure across development, testing, and production environments.

The role focuses on AWS presence, IAM, security controls, and automation using Terraform, CloudFormation, and scripting languages. Experience with Linux/Windows systems and on-call production support is expected.

Qualifications

• 2- or 4-year undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience with AWS infrastructure and IAM, EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, and CloudWatch.
• Familiarity with IaC and automation tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support AWS infrastructure across development, testing, and production.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot AWS services (EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM).
• Manage network security groups, load balancers, VPN connectivity, and routing.
• Perform routine patching and maintenance of Linux and Windows systems.
• Assist with HA, DR, and business continuity planning.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
