Job Description:
4P Consulting Inc. is seeking a skilled and highly motivated AWS & Active Directory Administrator to join our team for an exciting opportunity with the State of Georgia. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS), particularly in implementing, configuring, and maintaining Active Directory (AD) solutions within AWS environments. This role will focus on managing cloud infrastructure, integrating AWS and on-premises systems, and troubleshooting complex cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage configuration, compliance, and audit programs to effectively oversee AWS accounts and resources.
  • Review cloud resources, cost drivers, and services including compute, storage, networking, managed services, databases, marketplace, and accounts.
  • Implement and manage Active Directory services, including AD Domain Services, AD Federation Services, and AD Certificate Services in AWS environments.
  • Integrate AWS Managed Microsoft AD with on-premises AD infrastructure and other cloud environments.
  • Set up and manage Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) in the cloud to ensure secure access and identity management.
  • Automate provisioning and management of Active Directory resources within AWS.
  • Monitor rightsizing, elasticity, storage optimization, and identify unused resources as part of the managed services offering.
  • Maintain cloud-based server patching, backup/restore operations, server provisioning, firewall configuration, and monitoring systems.
  • Manage account containerization and tagging for internal cost centers and client billing feeds. Monitor cost allocations, security compliance, budgets, and set alerts across accounts, workloads, and users.
  • Use AWS Config to monitor and track resource configuration. Establish standards for resource configurations, evaluate configuration compliance, and remediate configuration drift.
  • Leverage AWS CloudTrail for compliance audits by recording and storing event logs for actions made within AWS accounts.
  • Set controls to ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
  • Experience with monitoring tools, middleware software, and ITSM tools is a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • At least 12 years of Cloud Administration experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IT Infrastructure, including switches, routers, server operating systems, hardware, storage arrays, and security applications.
  • Proven system administration experience in both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Experience with automation using an established framework such as SaltStack, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, etc.
  • Deep understanding of current protocols, operating systems, and standards. Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals and procedural documentation.
  • Hands-on experience in public cloud environments, particularly AWS and/or Azure.
  • Familiarity with ITIL principles and processes and experience working in an ITIL-driven environment.
