Job summary

cb5 Solutions LLC seeks an AWS Platform Engineering Lead to stand up and own the AWS platform for a greenfield DoD hybrid multi-cloud program. You will lead design, governance, and engineering of the AWS foundation, including landing zones, policy guardrails, and secure platform services.

The role is hands-on and collaborative with Azure and on-prem, requiring DoD familiarity and an active clearance. Onsite in Colorado Springs, CO or Huntsville, AL with limited travel.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in enterprise infrastructure or cloud engineering.
• 6+ years focused on AWS architecture and engineering.
• 2+ years as technical lead or design authority for enterprise AWS.

Responsibilities

• Own AWS platform architecture and engineering standards.
• Design multi-account structure and landing zones.
• Manage AWS governance, SCPs, IAM roles, tagging and cost guardrails.
• Design platform networking (VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect).
• Integrate AWS with identity and enterprise identity provider.
• Implement IaC and contribute modules to shared library.
• Ensure security baselines, key management, logging and auditing.
• Develop monitoring, resilience, and recovery patterns for AWS.
