GDIT is seeking a Lead Platform Engineering Architect to drive hybrid cloud and on‑premises platform engineering for a DoD mission. You will design, implement, and sustain highly available and secure baselines across diverse environments, including Kubernetes, Terraform, and IaC practices.

Required Top Secret/SCI eligibility with extensive Cloud and network expertise. The role is based in San Antonio, TX, with US citizenship required and strong emphasis on security, resilience, and incident

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 10+ years in platform engineering.
• Security Clearance Level: Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
• Certification: AWS Certified Solutions Architect-Professional.
• Location: San Antonio Region, TX. US citizenship required.

Responsabilités

• Lead the hybrid cloud and on‑premises platform engineering effort underpinning all applications and services.
• Design, build, and manage baselines that are highly available, secure, and scalable across hybrid cloud and on‑premises infrastructures.
• Configure, integrate, harden, and manage Kubernetes environments with resources, namespaces, helm charts, and orchestration logic.
• Govern disaster recovery and patching strategy, defining RPO and RTO for diverse data types and mission-critical systems.
• Fluent in Enterprise Hybrid Network Infrastructure, including advanced routing, SDN/SD-WAN, and boundary security systems.
