Job summary

Axiom Space is seeking a resilient Platform Engineer (AWS Cloud) to design, build, and operate our AWS-first infrastructure. You will drive automation, infrastructure-as-code, and platform reliability while supporting cross-platform workloads with Azure and Microsoft 365.

This role serves as an escalation point for architecture and security, partnering with senior IT leadership. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on AWS experience, Terraform or CloudFormation, and a track record of delivering

Qualifications

The majority of experience should be building and operating production workloads on AWS.
Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 4+ years of relevant work experience.
Ability to problem-solve proactively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Designs, builds, and maintains infrastructure-as-code for AWS GovCloud environments.
Acts as escalation point for AWS platform architecture and engineering issues.
Develops CI/CD pipelines to automate internal workflows.
Administers and evolves AWS environment with IAM, networking, compute, and core services.
Builds container platforms using Docker and Kubernetes to support workloads.
