Job summary

Marsh seeks a Cloud Operations Engineer to join our team supporting AWS GovCloud environments and business-critical applications. The role focuses on day-to-day cloud operations, server administration, incident resolution, change management, patching and security compliance in a regulated setting.

The ideal candidate has hands-on AWS experience, Windows/Linux server administration, and the ability to independently own projects from plan to execution while coordinating with internal and vendor

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience supporting AWS environments.
• Proficiency in Windows and/or Linux server administration.
• Strong understanding of AWS concepts including compute, storage, networking, IAM.
• Familiarity with security and compliance controls in regulated environments.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and with teams.
• Must be a US citizen.

Responsibilities

• Manage deployment, configuration and management of AWS GovCloud infrastructure.
• Monitor health, performance and utilization of AWS GovCloud environments; respond to alerts.
• Perform patching, upgrades, maintenance and routine tasks through change management.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues across compute, storage, networking, DNS, IAM and connectivity.
• Support incident management, root cause analysis and problem resolution within SLA.
