Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an AWS Cloud FinOps Analyst to manage and optimize the organization’s cloud spend during a VMware-to-AWS migration. The role partners with cloud engineering, infrastructure, and technology leadership to provide visibility into consumption and cost governance.

The ideal candidate will bridge finance and technology, driving cost accountability and developing financial models for forecasting. Hybrid onsite in Radnor, PA is available.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of FinOps or cloud financial management experience.
  • Experience with AWS cost management and pricing models.
  • Proficiency with AWS cost tools (Cost Explorer, Budgets, CUR).
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling; Power BI/Tableau/SQL preferred.
  • Experience partnering with infrastructure and cloud engineering during migrations.
  • FOCP and/or AWS certification preferred.
  • Experience with governance in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

Job Description

One of Insight Global's largest provider clients is seeking an AWS Cloud FinOps Analyst to support the financial management, optimization, and governance of their enterprise cloud platform. This client is in the midst of migration from VMware to AWS and is looking to systematize and build out their FinOps program. This individual will partner closely with cloud engineering, infrastructure, and technology leadership teams to provide visibility into cloud consumption and spending. The role will focus on analyzing AWS costs, building financial models and forecasts, identifying optimization opportunities, and driving cost-accountability initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate can bridge the gap between finance and technology while helping ensure cloud environments are designed and operated in a cost-effective manner. The ideal candidate will have the flexibility to be onsite in Radnor, PA on a hybrid basis and will be proactive, detail-oriented, and a clear communicator to collaborate across stakeholders throughout the migration.

Skills and Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in FinOps, technology finance, cloud financial management, or IT financial analysis.
  • Experience supporting AWS environments and understanding consumption-based cloud pricing models.
  • Experience with AWS cost management tools such as AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Budgets, AWS Cost & Usage Reports (CUR), Cloudability, CloudHealth etc.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, specifically using Power BI, Tableau or SQL.
  • Experience partnering with infrastructure and cloud engineering teams during cloud transformation or migration initiatives. Experience supporting VMware-to-AWS migrations or large-scale cloud modernization efforts.
  • FinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP) and/or AWS Cloud certification.
  • Cloud governance or lead experience.
