Job summary

Decca Consulting LLC is seeking a hands-on DevOps/SRE to own end-to-end production systems in a multi-account AWS environment. You will expand IaC using TypeScript CDK, manage services like ECS/Fargate, Aurora, Lambda and OpenSearch, and automate security and compliance controls across pipelines.

You’ll build internal tooling, improve CI/CD safety, and run on-call rotations. Strong writing and communication are essential to document runbooks and incident notes for a growing team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in DevOps, SRE, platform, or cloud infra engineering.
• Hands-on AWS expertise with IAM, VPC, cross-account access.
• Infrastructure-as-Code experience (AWS CDK preferred; Terraform/CFN acceptable).
• Production coding in TypeScript and/or Python.
• CI/CD ownership with GitHub Actions or CodePipeline.
• Containers on AWS (ECS/EKS, ECR) and Linux administration.
• Strong written communication and runbook/documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain our IaC estate across multiple AWS accounts using TypeScript CDK.
• Own production services: ECS/Fargate, Aurora, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, OpenSearch.
• Improve observability: CloudWatch, synthetic checks, logs, and alarms that actually page.
• Automate security and compliance: guardrails, IAM roles, SOC 2 evidence, SAST in pipelines.
• Run access management as a product: Okta SSO/SAML, SCIM provisioning, VPN access.
• Build internal tooling: chat bots, webhooks, and LLM-backed tooling deployed on Bedrock.
• Advance CI/CD and deployment safety: gates, previews, and robust change controls.
• Participate in on-call rotation for production infrastructure.
