Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking an AWS Database Engineer to design, build, and optimize Oracle and PostgreSQL database solutions within the GrantSolutions platform. You will work with AWS services, ETL pipelines, and data integration to support modernization and analytics initiatives.

The role requires hands-on experience with Oracle/PostgreSQL, AWS DMS/SCT, and monitoring, with collaboration across DevOps, data engineers, and stakeholders in a Federal-aligned environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD PUBLIC TRUST; adjudication prior to onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support Oracle database solutions including packages, procedures, functions, and views for high performance and scalability.
• Develop and optimize SQL/PL/pgSQL for application functionality, reporting, and integration.
• Create and maintain migration scripts, schema updates, and automated deployment processes.
• Build and support ETL workflows and data transformations.
• Configure and operate AWS database services (RDS, Redshift, S3) and related tools for migration and monitoring.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders in an Agile/DevSecOps environment.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve coding, testing, and documentation.
