JPMorganChase in Plano, TX is seeking a Software Engineer III to join the AI/ML & Data Platforms team. You will be a seasoned part of an agile group delivering secure, scalable technology products and solving complex problems across multiple business functions.

The role requires strong Python/Java, SQL, and CI/CD experience, plus familiarity with enterprise AI tooling and secure coding practices for a large corporate environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools with ability to critically evaluate outputs.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and secure handling of data.
• Knowledgeable of AWS Data Management: Glue, EMR, Athena, Redshift, Lake Formation.
• Proficient in Python or Java and SQL for development, debugging, and maintenance.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• Overall solid knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or breakdown technical problems
• Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
• Leverages enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools within the work environment to improve code quality and productivity across complex deliverables
• Applies knowledge of tools within the SDLC toolchain to improve automation and value
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensures design constraints are met by code
• Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and visualizes data to support continuous improvement of software applications
• Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture
