Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Wink, TX, seeks a Data Center Infrastructure Delivery Manager to lead inbound capacity and equipment delivery for AWS data centers.

You will guide a diverse team of technicians and engineers, drive on-time, defect-free service, and implement sustainable processes to reduce delivery cycle times. The role is based on-site at the Pecos, TX data center, with responsibilities spanning project leadership, network infrastructure installation, and operational metrics

Qualifications

• Experience creating reports, interpreting metrics and driving insights.
• Experience in vendor management.
• 4+ years in data center tech or TCP/IP networking and related cabling.
• 4+ years in management or team lead roles.
• 6+ years in data center design/ops (preferred).
• Experience with network hardware: cabling, switches, routers.
• Experience in automation or monitoring frameworks.
• Experience developing operational metrics.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and assign tasks to data center technicians and operators, project management, coaching and creating documentation.
• Manage inbound capacity from receiving through deployment stages
• Manage the installation network and cabling infrastructure in a data center environment
• Guide, train and educate staff on best practices related to service owner issues
• Manage tasks and deliverables across small to large-size projects
• Recommend, document, and oversee policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and SLAs
• Provide weekly report to the data center manager
• Coordinate team resources to support project and delivery needs, including off-hours and on-call
• Recruit and train data technicians to ensure staffing
• Host weekly staff meetings
• Drive compliance to Amazon performance management requirements
