Peregrine Advisors LLC in the Washington, DC area is hiring a data architect to design the data models and architecture for a large federal data-lake on AWS, delivering scalable governance and secure access.

You will work with engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders across federal clients, ensuring data integrity and auditability while advancing cloud-native data capabilities in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of data architecture and data modeling experience.
• 4+ years of cloud data architecture on AWS (Glue/EMR/Lambda).
• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience with data governance and security.
• Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design data models and schemas for a federal data lake on AWS.
• Define models and schemas for new/migrated data sources.
• Restructure data ecosystem to remove redundancy while preserving integrity.
• Ensure governed access and auditability.
• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders.
