Job summary

American Century Investments seeks an Architect Advisor for its Enterprise Data Lake team. This hands-on architect will design, build, and evolve EDL and data platforms, enabling fast ingestion and secure consumption of data. You will collaborate with IT and business stakeholders, provide technical leadership, and support audit and entitlement frameworks.

The role reports to Director - Data Technologies and is hybrid based in Kansas City, MO. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience designing production data solutions in AWS.
• Hands-on AWS DevOps with CI/CD, IaC, monitoring, and security.
• Knowledge of governed data access, IAM, entitlements, encryption, audit logging.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve Enterprise Data Lake and data platforms.
• Translate business needs into scalable data solutions aligned with security and governance.
• Develop reusable ingestion patterns and automate onboarding, testing, and deployment.
• Implement governed data access and entitlement patterns with security teams.
• Support audit and control processes with architecture documentation and evidence.
• Apply AWS DevOps practices for production data solutions including IaC, CI/CD, monitoring.
