Job summary

The Cannonball Recruiting LLC is seeking a Structural Steel Welder for bridge and infrastructure projects. This role requires Flux Core welding skills, attention to safety and quality, and the ability to read shop drawings and WPSs.

You'll weld using FCAW, GMAW/MIG, SAW, and SMAW per AWS D1.5 standards, with first shift 5:00 AM start, 10-hour days, and potential overtime. Experience and AWS D1.1/D1.5 certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of structural steel welding experience
• Flux Core (FCAW) welding experience required
• GMAW/MIG, SAW, SMAW experience is a plus
• Current or prior AWS welding certifications preferred (D1.1/D1.5)
• AISC fabrication shop experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret weld symbols, WPSs, and shop drawings
• Ability to safely work with overhead cranes, fixtures, and heavy plate assemblies

Responsibilities

• Weld bridge components using FCAW, GMAW/MIG, SAW, and SMAW in accordance with AWS D1.5 standards
• Read and interpret weld symbols, Welding Procedure Specifications (WPSs), and shop drawings
• Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and compliance with project specifications
• Safely work with overhead cranes, fixtures, and heavy plate assemblies

Structural Steel Welder – (AWS D1.5)

Pay: $22–$34/hr. (depending on experience and certifications)
Shift: 1st shift – 5:00 AM start, 10-hour shifts, 50 hour weeks.Every other week 60 hour work week.

Job Summary

The Structural Steel Welderis responsible for welding and fabricating structural steel components used in major bridge and infrastructure projects. This role requires strong Flux Core welding skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of structural steel welding experience required
• Flux Core (FCAW) welding experience required
• Experience with GMAW/MIG, SAW, and SMAW is a plus
• Current or prior AWS welding certifications preferred, particularly D1.1/D1.5
• AISC fabrication shop experience preferred
