Job Title: AWS Cloud Solutions Engineer – State of Arkansas (DFA) | Hybrid |

Location: Little Rock, AR (Hybrid – Onsite First 2 Weeks, Remote Option After for Qualified Candidates)

Contract Duration: 6+ Months (Anticipated: July 1, 2025 – December 31, 2025, with possible extension)

About the Role:

We’re seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Solutions Engineer to support the Arkansas Integrate Revenue System (AIRS) migration from an on-premises data center to the AWS Cloud. This role will be critical in leading the configuration, migration, modification, support, and ongoing management of large-scale systems in AWS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead workload migrations from on-premises infrastructure to AWS.
• Design, build, and support AWS environments (EC2, ELB, FSx, S3, SES, SNS, etc.).
• Configure and manage AWS security tools (WAF, GuardDuty, SecurityHub, CrowdStrike, Tenable, etc.).
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CDK (Typescript), CloudFormation, and AMI.
• Monitor infrastructure using CloudWatch and CloudTrail.
• Maintain and optimize VPCs, Transit Gateways, Load Balancers, and Routing Tables.
• Develop executive-level dashboards for system utilization, health, and cost reporting.
• Ensure environment hardening and compliance with NIST, PII, and PUB 1075 standards.
• Collaborate across DevOps, Networking, Database, and Security teams.
• Provide documentation and participate in technology selection and incident resolution.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 4+ years with AWS cloud migrations and environment management.
• Expertise with AWS services including EC2, ELB, FSx, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, WAF, GuardDuty, SecurityHub, and IAM.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CDK in Typescript) and CloudFormation.
• Strong background in DevOps, networking, security, monitoring, and backup/DR strategies.
• Hands-on with CrowdStrike, Tenable, and AWS network logging/configuration.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Solutions Architect certification
• Experience with GenTax architecture
• Familiarity with FIPS, CIS, NIST, and PII standards.
• Willingness to provide 24x7 support if needed.
• Experience with Incident Management tools (e.g., JIRA)

Work Setup: Onsite for first 2 weeks, then hybrid/remote for top candidates.
