Job Description
RCH Solutions is seeking a Solutions Architect with experience in deploying and managing AWS cloud infrastructurein the Life Sciences space. As part of the RCH Solutions Architecture team, you will work on the most complex customer challenges and opportunities, collaborating with customers, RCH sales teams, and partners to deliver our suite of solutions. With a leading role in developing both the strategy and the team itself, this role will drive architecture, roadmaps, and execution of projects to establish and operate cloud IT infrastructure services in line with industry best practices for customers. While RCH Solutions Architects will oversee teams implementing scoped solutions and act as an escalation point for team members, they will also drive the hands-on implementation and deployment of solutions and troubleshooting efforts.The cloud landscape is continuously evolving, with new tools and services being released daily.You will distinguish hype from reality and make recommendations that best suit our clients’ needs.

While RCH Solutions Architects will oversee teams implementing scoped solutions and act as an escalation point for team members, they will also drive the hands-on implementation and deployment of solutions and troubleshooting efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Sales team in Pre-Sales efforts (requirement gathering and scoping) through receipt of customer PO.
• Perform a needs assessment, identify potential solution paths, and deliver proposal / SOW.
• Communicate and possibility present different solution and technology options, while articulating short and long-term consequences, impact and outcomes on business.
• Design, implement, and deploy solutions.
• Guide clients on establishing and adhering to industry best practices.
• Review and audit existing solutions, designs and system architectures while creating architecture documentation & presentations.
• Delegate project tasking to respective RCH support team members and peer review output.
• Serve as an escalation point for questions and issues of RCH support team members.
• Troubleshoot escalated operational issues as they arise on supported platforms.
• Work with Project Manager to ensure timelines are met and deliverables are in line with project scope.
• Ensure that all systems are compliant with company security standards and applicable regulatory requirements

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• 6+ years of professional experience in Solution Architecture or Cloud Infrastructure Deployment
• Expert within solutions developed in large cloud computing infrastructures such as Amazon Web Services, Azure Cloud, or Google Cloud
• AWS Solutions Architect Professional Certification
• Experience creating proof of concepts / demonstrations from scratch.
• Ability to develop technology solutions and evangelizing end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT and business transformation.
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences and at C-level, including training, workshops, publications, etc.
• Expert troubleshooting & problems analysis skills
• Experience deploying and managing clusters via AWS Parallel Cluster
• Experience with configuration management tools, such as Ansible
• Excellent communication skills, including preparation of written documentation for IT colleagues and data science end users
• Experience leading project teams

Qualifications:

• Has good knowledge of deploying or supporting GxP systems
• Experience supporting and managing Slurm clusters
• Python, R, or other related data science programming
• Experience using shell scripting, automation tools, and configuration management
• Git, BitBucket, or other version control tools
