Job summary

Nationwide Technology is seeking an AWS Infrastructure Engineer to join a cloud platform team responsible for building, automating, securing, and supporting AWS infrastructure used by enterprise applications.

This role operates in a hybrid model with two in-office days in Columbus, OH on Mondays and Wednesdays, collaborating with application teams, security, FinOps, and operations to deliver reliable platform capabilities and guardrails.

Qualifications

• Experience engineering and supporting AWS infrastructure in an enterprise environment.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automated deployment pipelines.
• Strong troubleshooting across infrastructure and AWS service workflows.
• Experience implementing secure access patterns (least-privilege IAM, OIDC).
• Ability to work with cross-functional partners to deliver practical infrastructure solutions.
• Ability to manage work across testing, change control, and production validation.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, and support AWS workload accounts and sandbox environments.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot IaC and deployment automation.
• Engineer platform components such as Lambda, S3, IAM, EventBridge, API Gateway.
• Improve security posture with guardrails and tagging.
• Support observability with logging, telemetry, dashboards and integrations.
• Contribute to AWS AI infrastructure initiatives.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive to resolution.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response.
• Document reusable patterns and scalable solutions.
