Job summary

Nationwide is seeking an AWS Infrastructure Engineer to join a cloud platform engineering team responsible for building, automating, securing, and supporting AWS infrastructure used by enterprise applications. The role focuses on provisioning accounts, IaC and deployment automation, platform services, and security remediation.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in computer science, MIS or related field.
• Experience engineering and supporting AWS infrastructure in an enterprise.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automated deployment pipelines.
• Strong troubleshooting across infra, access, logging, monitoring, and AWS service workflows.
• Experience with secure access patterns (least-privilege IAM, OIDC/workload identity).
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners to implement practical infra solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, and support AWS workload accounts and sandbox environments.
• Develop and troubleshoot IaC and deployment automation using CDK, Terraform, or similar.
• Engineer core AWS components (Lambda, S3, IAM, API Gateway, etc.).
• Improve security posture with guardrails and least-privilege access.
• Support observability and incident response with dashboards and logs.
• Contribute to modernization and platform-improvement efforts.
