Job summary

Confidential Company is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and operate secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS. The role focuses on Terraform IaC, Kubernetes (EKS), and Helm for containerized deployments, with strong emphasis on security, reliability, and DevOps best practices.

You will build multi-account environments, manage IAM controls, and implement CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows. Exposure to AI-assisted automation and cost optimization is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cloud engineering/DevOps with hands-on delivery.
• Hands-on Terraform expertise (mandatory).
• Proven Kubernetes (EKS) deployment/operation experience.
• Experience using Helm for deployment/management.
• Strong IAM and AWS security best practices knowledge.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitOps, Argo CD).
• Solid understanding of networking (subnets, routing, DNS, load balancers, SGs, NACLs).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support AWS-based solutions across dev, staging, production.
• Build, deploy, and manage infrastructure using Terraform (IaC).
• Deploy and operate containerized platforms on Amazon EKS, including Helm deployments.
• Follow and implement cloud standards, governance, and operational best practices.
• Define and manage IAM roles and policies with least-privilege principles.
• Implement multi-account AWS environments using AWS Organizations, SCPs, and account structure.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows (Jenkins, Argo CD, etc.).
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting; improve reliability and performance.
• Optimize AWS costs through right-sizing and usage analysis.
• Leverage AI/ML and agentic AI tools to automate infrastructure management, incident response, and ops tasks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and platform issues.

Job description

• We are seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer who can build, deploy, and operate secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure on AWS
• The ideal candidate combines strong cloud engineering expertise with execution skills across Terraform (IaC), Kubernetes (EKS), and Helm, while following best practices in security, reliability, and DevOps
• Ability to leverage AI tools, including agentic AI systems, to automate workflows, improve productivity, and enhance cloud operations

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support AWS-based solutions across multiple environments (dev, staging, production)
• Build, deploy, and manage infrastructure using Terraform (IaC)
• Deploy and operate containerized platforms on Amazon EKS, including deployments using Helm

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering/DevOps with strong hands-on delivery
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform (mandatory)
• Proven experience deploying and operating Kubernetes (EKS) platforms
• Experience with Helm for application deployment and management
• Strong understanding of AWS security best practices, especially IAM and access control
• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitOps, Argo CD, etc.)
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (subnets, routing, DNS, load balancing, security groups, NACLs)

Good to Have

• Experience with Argo CD / GitOps workflows
• Exposure to monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Knowledge of service mesh (Istio, Linkerd) and container security tools
• Experience managing multi-account AWS environments at scale
• Familiarity with AI-driven automation frameworks, copilots, or autonomous agents for DevOps
• Ability to independently implement, operate, and support AWS environments
• Ability to proactively identify issues, automate operational tasks, and maintain production systems with minimal supervision
