Job summary
TEKsystems is seeking a Cloud Engineer with a strong AWS foundation to mature and govern its AWS environment while collaborating with a small Enterprise Cloud Services team. The role spans multi-cloud with Azure, GCP, and GitHub, and focuses on governance, security, and automation in a growing cloud practice.
The candidate will serve as the AWS subject matter expert, implementing best practices, evaluating environments, and partnering with stakeholders across VUMC to enable scalable cloud
Qualifications
- Experience building and governing enterprise cloud environments in AWS.
- Hands-on with multi-cloud strategies including Azure and GCP.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code, automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Assess and mature the AWS environment and governance model.
- Develop and maintain IaC solutions using Terraform.
- Build and support GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows.
- Create cloud automation and self-service capabilities for engineering teams.
- Review deployments and recommend enhancements to governance and security.
- Partner with cloud engineers and application teams on strategy and implementation.
- Develop standards and best practices for cloud operations and cost management.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to socialize changes and gain alignment.
- Support cloud security, budgeting, and operational reporting.
- Contribute to long-term cloud modernization efforts across the organization.
