Job summary

Princeton IT Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced AWS Senior Cloud Architect to lead enterprise cloud design, governance, and policy development in a New York-based contract role.

The candidate will drive scalable, secure, and cost-optimized multi-cloud and hybrid solutions across AWS and Azure, collaborating with stakeholders and engineering teams. The role emphasizes cloud modernization, migration strategies, IaC, CI/CD, and strong governance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 10 years of AWS cloud architecture experience.
• Strong experience designing enterprise AWS and Azure solutions.
• Expertise in hybrid and multi-cloud architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, or Pulumi).
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and cloud automation.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, governance, and FinOps.
• Experience with container platforms including ECS, EKS, Kubernetes, Docker, AKS, and OpenShift.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience creating architecture diagrams and documentation using Microsoft Visio.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, resilient, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures.
• Develop cloud governance frameworks, standards, and implementation guidelines.
• Assess application readiness and develop cloud migration strategies.
• Design hybrid and multi-cloud solutions integrating on-premises infrastructure.
• Guide engineering teams on cloud architecture, best practices, and implementation.
• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions and cloud automation.
• Build CI/CD pipelines and support DevOps automation initiatives.
• Implement disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity strategies.
• Optimize cloud performance, security, and cost.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, DevOps, and business teams.
