Job summary

Peraton is seeking an AWS Cloud Software Engineer/DevOps Engineer to support mission-critical cloud modernization in a Cyber Intelligence environment. You will design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud-native apps and infrastructure leveraging AWS, IaC, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices.

You will collaborate with software engineers, systems engineers, and cloud architects to build resilient, secure cloud solutions while enabling ongoing integration, testing, deployment, monitoring,

Qualifications

• Eight+ years in software development/engineering lifecycle.
• Six+ years with Java, C, C++, Python or similar languages.
• Five+ years on UNIX/Linux environments.
• Three+ years software integration and automated testing.
• Hands-on AWS cloud services experience.
• CI/CD pipeline development and DevOps automation tools.
• IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Git-based version control (GitLab).
• Bachelor’s degree; security clearance (TS/SCI) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-native software and services.
• Support AWS infrastructure deployments and modernization.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation.
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
• Deploy and manage containers with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments.
• Implement cloud monitoring, logging, and observability.
• Participate in performance optimization and sustainment.
• Ensure security and configuration management best practices.
