Job summary

Stout is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer in Detroit to strengthen reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud infra. You will manage AWS environments, infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and container workloads, ensuring high availability and performance.

Key focus areas include Terraform-based infrastructure, ECS, VPCs, IAM, and observability with CloudWatch. You’ll collaborate with engineering teams to improve deployment, security, and cost-management while adhering to GitOps

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience managing AWS infrastructure and production environments.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and GitOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Build, manage, and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform and IaC practices.
• Administer AWS services including ECS, EC2, VPC, ALB/NLB, IAM, S3, and Systems Manager.
• Manage containerized workloads and ECS services, including deployments and scaling.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using CodePipeline, CodeBuild, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
• Configure and maintain AWS networking, security groups, load balancing, and TLS certificates.
• Maintain monitoring and alerting through CloudWatch and observability tools.
• Troubleshoot production incidents involving AWS infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with technology teams to improve platform engineering practices and tooling.
