Job summary

Thomas Allen is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for Awake Overnight shifts in Burnsville, MN. The role involves empowering individuals in residential/community settings with guidance, training, and engagement to support independence and inclusion.

Open position is full-time, awake overnight, Monday–Thursday 10:00 pm–8:00 am. The program pays $18.00–$21.00 per hour, with higher wages based on experience and certifications. Comprehensive benefits apply to eligible full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Clear criminal background clearance required.
• Active U.S. driver’s license meeting company criteria.
• High School proficiency in reading and writing English.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and mobility support.
• Successful completion of Medication Administration Training course provided by Thomas Allen inc.

Responsibilities

• Implement person-centered supports to empower individuals towards goals.
• Foster positive interactions with individuals, peers, family, and community.
• Document activities, services and progress per policies/regulations.
• Support medical needs, accompany to appointments, administer medication, provide personal cares.
• Promote community integration and socialization through varied activities.
• Assist with financial tasks and budgeting skills.
• Attend trainings and review materials as required.
• Coordinate meal preparation respecting dietary needs and safety protocols.
• Handle incidents and emergencies with sound judgment and prioritize safety.
• Maintain communication with supervisors and respond to inquiries promptly.
