Job summary

Spurwink in Sabattus, ME, is seeking hard-working candidates for the Awake Night Direct Support Recovery Worker role to provide direct services to adults with mental health disorders in the Adult PNMI program. You will help residents with daily living tasks, monitor safety, and assist with treatment goals while administering medications under CRMA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; must maintain a current driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent training in mental health preferred; CRMA course and MHRT-1 certification within one year are required for continued status.
• Must become MHRT-1 and maintain trainings to uphold status.

Job description

Spurwink is hiring hard-working candidates like you to become an Awake Night Direct Support Recovery Workerat their facility in Sabattus. This position provides direct services to support individuals with mental health disorders living in the Adult PNMI program. All positions within this classification administer client medications and provide services that support a therapeutic co-occurring milieu.

DUTIES:

• Supports residents with support to accomplish tasks of daily living.
• Serve as a positive role model to clients at all times.
• Actively participates in supervision with direct supervisor.
• Assists clients to meet treatment goals and implement the treatment plan.
• Ensure physical safety of all residents at all times.
• Follows proper medication procedures related to administering and documentation of meds under CRMA guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or equivalent and must maintain a current driver's license and a clean driving record as outlined in Spurwink's Driving Policy. Associate's degree or equivalent training in mental health preferred. 40-hour CRMA course preferred.Must become certified as a Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician 1 (MHRT-1) within one year of employment; then maintain required trainings to uphold continuous MHRT 1 status.
