Job summary

Spurwink is hiring Direct Support Recovery Workers for our Rumford, ME facility. You will administer medications, monitor health, and support a therapeutic co-occurring milieu. Position includes weekly team meetings, documentation, and supervision with a focus on recovery-oriented services.

Requirements include CRMA certification, 1–2 years of direct care/mental health experience, and MHRT1 within 1 year. High School Diploma or equivalent; AAs or BA preferred.

Qualifications

CRMA certification required.
1-2 years of direct care/mental health or relevant life experience required.
Must become MHRT1 within 1 year of employment and maintain trainings.
Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Administer medications to residents per CRMA guidelines.
Monitor health and safety of residents.
Overnight chores to maintain cleanliness and sanitation.
Communicate observations to day staff during shift changes.
Complete required documentation.
Participate in supervision with direct supervisor.

Job description

Spurwink is hiring hard-working candidates like you to become Direct Support Recovery Workers at their facility in Rumford. This position provides direct services to support a recovery lifestyle of people living in the program. All positions within this classification administer client medications and provide services that support a therapeutic co-occurring milieu. These positions attend weekly program staff meetings and frequently participate in other team meetings as necessary.

Salary: $21.50-$22.50 per hour.

Duties

CRMA required to pass and document both psych and medical medications to residents to fulfill and follow CRMA guidelines and duties.
Monitor health and safety of residents.
Overnight chores to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the program.
Communicate and provide relevant information and observations to day staff during shift changes.
Complete required documentation.
Actively participate in supervision with direct supervisor.
Attend required weekly clinical team meetings.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent and must maintain a current driver's license and a clean driving record as outlined in Spurwink's Driving Policy. Must be CRMA certified. 1-2 years of direct care/mental health or relevant life experience required. Must become certified as Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician 1 (MHRT1) within 1 year of employment; then maintain required trainings to uphold continuous MHRT1 status. Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
