Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of casualty underwriting experience; construction preferred.
• Existing market relationships with construction casualty producers and agents.
• Strong analytical and communication/presentation abilities.
• Creative thinking around risks and program design.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and price Lead Umbrella and Excess Casualty policies for US construction-based risks across program types.
• Cultivate strong relationships with brokers, clients and industry stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Claims, Actuarial, Risk Engineering, and Sales to meet service and underwriting goals.
• Adhere to portfolio management goals to ensure profitability and discipline.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments for construction-related accounts and ensure timely documentation.
• Grow the construction excess portfolio in preferred casualty construction business.
• Support industry initiatives across the organization and other underwriting units.
• Participate in relevant industry events and conferences.
