Everest Insurance Company is seeking an AVP Underwriter to join the Construction Excess Casualty team in Atlanta, GA or New York, NY. You will lead underwriting and pricing for US construction-based risks and build strong broker relationships.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of casualty underwriting experience, including construction programs, and a track record of collaborative, data-driven decision making. The role offers competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of casualty underwriting experience with construction focus.
• Experience with wrap-up programs and contractor programs.
• Existing market relationships with construction casualty producers and agents.
• Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills.
• Able to think creatively around risks and program design.

Responsabilités

• Underwriting and pricing Lead Umbrella and Excess Casualty policies for US construction-based risks.
• Cultivating strong relationships with brokers, clients and key industry stakeholders.
• Collaboratively working with Claims, Actuarial, Risk Engineering, Regional Leadership and Sales & Distribution teams to meet standards.
• Adhering to portfolio management goals and profitability.
• Conducting thorough risk assessments for construction-related accounts and ensuring timely file documentation.
• Growing the construction excess portfolio in preferred casualty construction business.
• Supporting construction industry initiatives across the organization.
• Participating in relevant industry events and conferences.
