Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking an AVP in Trading Operations to support order handling, routing, and risk management for client trading across US equities, options, futures, and crypto. The role involves time-sensitive issues and collaboration with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Technology to ensure regulatory and client outcomes.

The position includes shift work: Midnight-8AM ET, Monday-Friday, with responsibility for risk controls, governance, and continuous improvement of trading workflows.

Qualifications

• Series 7 and Series 63 are required; Series 57 is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of financial services experience, ideally with brokerage/trading exposure.
• Familiarity with order entry, order routing, execution quality, trade reporting, market access controls, and regulatory obligations.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day Trading Operations activities for a high-volume brokerage environment.
• Assist with order handling, routing, broker review, manual order entry, and exception resolution.
• Support risk management processes related to market access controls and related documentation.
• Contribute to best execution and order routing governance through QC and analyses.
• Collaborate across Legal, Compliance, Risk, Technology, Product, Operations, and vendors to improve trading capabilities.
• Maintain procedures, checklists, and audit-ready documentation as part of control regime.
• Analyze trading activity, execution data, and risk indicators to identify improvements.
