Job summary

LPL Financial is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Technology Risk to provide independent oversight and credible challenge of technology risk across the firm. You will lead risk assessments, evaluate technology controls, and report on material exposures to support business objectives and regulatory expectations.

This role partners with Technology, Information Security, Compliance, and Internal Audit to strengthen the control environment and enable responsible innovation and sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• 5–10+ years in technology risk or related disciplines within financial services or regulated industries.
• Experience leading technology risk assessments, controls evaluations, and risk reporting.
• Proven ability to provide independent risk oversight and credible challenge.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee technology risk program activities and governance.
• Perform risk assessments across cybersecurity, cloud, data, applications, and third parties.
• Evaluate control design and residual risk; issue oversight and remediation progress.
• Develop risk metrics, dashboards, and reports for senior leadership and regulators.
• Coordinate with Compliance, Legal, Internal Audit, and other stakeholders to ensure aligned coverage.
